A friend from Julio's lab is having a baby. I went to a baby shower yesterday and this is the blanket I made for them!

Summer Plans!
Linda gave me a bunch of fabric to make some quilts for Project Linus. I haven't had as much time as I've wanted to sew, but I will have a lot of time this summer to finish the nine blankets I got the material for!
I did get to finish one! It is a rag quilt. I'm making three others just like it. I love this quilt because it's cute and so easy to make!
This is a quilt my mom started over 30 years ago. This summer I plan to quilt it and put binding on it! I started this past weekend with two of the block.
Another thing I'm working on this year is a block of the month from my favorite quilt store, Bernina. Each month we get material and directions to make another block.
I bought this fabric a while ago, but haven't worked on this project in a while. This one you won't see until I enter it into the North Carolina State Fair in October!
My quilting group is doing challenges again! Hurray! This time we're going to do a summer themed project. I want to do a beach scene. I have some beach things to paper piece and applique! We'll see how this turns out.

Hey Mama!
Julie is expecting her first child! Thus, I have spent the past few months working on a baby quilt for her. After searching for the perfect inspiration, I decided on a bird quilt.
The bed is ready. We're just waiting on the baby!

Started sewing again
After taking a few weeks off of sewing, I have completed a few more projects. I made two grocery bags. They're the same pattern, but with different colors.

It was Linda's birthday on Thursday, so I made her a necklace and earrings.

I went to a quilt show today, and found this beautiful panel for just $4!
